We believe that discipleship with Jesus is lived out beyond the church walls—by showing up for our neighbors in the rough and tumble, and in the dark places. Through sacrifice, service, compassion, and community, we seek to reflect and give the light, grace, and love that are found in and through Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we offer salvation, healing, and deliverance to the broken, which includes us who belong to Belmont.
Community Church on Mission
Belmont Presbyterian Church is a community rooted in Jesus Christ and HIs gospel of grace and love, with a deep commitment to serving others. Located in the heart of Roanoke City, we seek to follow Christ by caring for our neighbors through worship, service and meaningful relationships.
We are known as the Street Level Sanctuary. We are called to be a church for the down and out, the marginalized, those ignored, shunned, and discarded….. as well as everyone else in the SE area of Roanoke. This involves heavy engagement and investment with those who are unsheltered and/or struggling with addiction issues. Through weekly worship, outreach ministries, and street-level service, we strive to meet people where they are and walk alongside them with compassion and hope.
We are an evangelical mission church whose goal is to offer salvation, healing, and deliverance to individuals and communities through Jesus Christ.
Our mission is almost entirely dependent on the generous giving of individuals and organizations. If you would like to help us, please donate or perhaps point us to available grants, etc. And please pray for us, that we will be exactly what the Lord wants us to be and that we would be filled with the Spirit of the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ as we serve Him with joy.

Belmont Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian tradition, rooted in the Reformed faith and guided by the teachings of Scripture. We believe that God’s grace is at the center of our lives and that faith is both a gift from God and a calling to live with love, humility, and justice.
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created the world and continues to be active in it. Jesus Christ is at the heart of our faith, revealing God’s love and calling us to follow Him through compassion, service, and faithful living. We believe the Holy Spirit is present and at work today, guiding, renewing, and strengthening the church and its people.
