Who We Are
Belmont Presbyterian Church is a community of people seeking to follow Jesus Christ with faith, humility, and purpose. We are grounded in Scripture, seeking not just to understand what God is saying, but to put it into practice. This involves loving God with all that we are and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
We are a people called to live out God’s love in real and practical ways. Through worship, discipleship, and service, we strive to grow together in faith and to care for our neighbors with compassion and grace. Whether gathered on Sundays or serving throughout the week, our desire is to reflect Christ in all that we do. We are seeking to make Jesus famous in our area and beyond. We are a Street Level Sanctuary in the midst of Roanoke City.

Todd Atkins
Pastor Since 2012
The Lord brought Todd to Belmont Presbyterian Church in 2014. That was 12 years ago, and it is a cool story.
Todd came to Jesus in 1980 as a result of love displayed by Christian youth and by the word of God at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC. His journey from there has taken him from Montreat College, the United States Navy, Reformed Theological Seminary, pastoring in Salem, VA, Prison Ministry, more than 10 years in overseas missions to various countries, the founding of a non-profit, and then here in Roanoke, VA at Belmont.
In recent years Todd has been called to be a "street pastor." For him this means an extensive ministry of compassion for those who are living on the streets, without homes, and those in various stages of addiction and recovery.
Todd is 62 years old and has three grown and growing children: Kait, Nate, and Abigail. He also has a Sheltie named Chip.

Deborah Hollie
Street Level Sanctuary Director of Outreach
Thankfully, Deborah decided to join us as Director of Outreach this year. She directs the Street Level Sanctuary which operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She relates with our guests in a tremendous way.
By her own admission Deborah was at one time a "Black sheep." Her father actually pastored this church several decades ago. Deborah has experienced homelessness and addiction. Jesus delivered her from both! Not only did she get clean, but she returned to the Lord Jesus with honest and robust faith. She has an instant connection with our guests and is locked into resources that can help people in our community. She has a love for the Lord Jesus and people. Come by and meet her. She is inspiration for those who are still stuck in homelessness, addiction, and other real life struggles. Deborah found healing and deliverance through Jesus. She wants to help other people do the same!
Deborah has two children, Michael Dale and Robbie and five grandchildren.
